Fallout 76

There’s no doubt that the release of Bethesda’s Fallout 76 was a complete Clusterfuck. Every gamer knows how buggy the game was at launch. Only idiots buy the game now and days. So anyways, I bought the game a couple months ago.

This isn’t just another “game buggy and bad” review, because its not true. Since 2018 the game has gotten much better. The story is kind of shit, and the bugs that aren’t patched are game-breaking. The game advertises its in-game store as “Cosmetics only” similar to Fortnite and other popular games. This is just false, purchasing fallout’s subscription known as “Fallout 1st” for real world money gives the player game-breaking advantages in the wasteland.

A strong point of the game is its community. With 120 hours in the game I have not had any encounters with toxic players. All the active players are level 300+, I only got to about level 90 before quitting. That’s actually quite high considering the game runs out of content when you hit level 50. Being level 50 doesn’t give you much on an advantage though, because this game is incredibly unbalanced.

First of all, assaultrons will one shot you. Unless you’re in power armor you will instantly die every. single. time. There’s one mission “Fun and Games” that has 2 assaultrons. I must’ve died 20 times trying to complete this quest. There also other issues like stashes having way too low capacity and ammo being way too hard to obtain. I found myself carrying 5 different weapons at a time to cover the entire ammo spectrum.

Besides that, you run into the occasional bug here and there. Most bugs aren’t rage quit worthy, but when you come across one it’s REALLY BAD. That’s why I’m giving the game a 3/5 stars, one for every time the game made me want to jump out a 76 store building.
