If you like sitting at your computer for 3 hours a session, this game is for you! One of the best grand strategy games released by Paradox Interactive. This is a game that you could play for thousands of hours and never run out of content. The public multiplayer community is toxic so avoid it, but its a great game for close friends. There is also a large competitive scene but it takes hundreds of hours to even compete against the no-lifes. Ahem.
WARNING: The mechanics are complicated, and every tutorial on YouTube is over an hour long itself. The AI is atrocious and your allies will sometimes unintentionally work against you. By association the enemy AI is also bad, but thats ok because it allows for satisfyingly moments like surrounding the entire Soviet army. Caus’ Fuck em’.
Overall, there’s no doubt this game is for a very specific audience. I would strongly suggest watching youtubers first before buying. The game also goes on sale often and it’s definitely worth the wait.
